Lerv Schmidt of Lindenhurst, formerly of Antioch, beloved husband of Sara Lee nee Elarde, dear father of Dean, Douglas, Laura (Michael) Mitchell, Susan (Mark Monckton) Rodgers and Joseph (Linda) Rodgers; loving grandfather of Sammy, Damien, Megan, Cassie, Jami, Michael, Chase, Kailey, Cole, Joey and Ryan; cherished great grandfather of 6; brother of Velda Knorr; uncle of Pamela Geer and Duane Sohn. Lerv was an avid and accomplished longtime golfer and bowler. Visitation at Simkins funeral Home 6251 Dempster St. Morton Grove on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral service at the funeral home Saturday 11:00 a.m. Interment Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
