Beloved husband of the late Betty; loving companion of the late Joan; dear father of Janet (Ernie) Phillips, Joe (Paula) Deppong, and the late John (Kathy) Deppong III and Carol (Steve) Williams; cherished grandfather of John Deppong, Valerie (Scott) Johnson, Liz (Kyle) Strohman, Ernie (Angie) Phillips, Amanda (Jeff Kazmer) Phillips, Stephen (Meg) Williams, Michael (Leila) Williams, Christopher Williams, Joe Deppong Jr., and Alyssa (fiance Vincent Arenas) Deppong; devoted great grandfather of Grace, Henry, Danny, Patrick, Delaney, Addison, Conner, Carson, Mikeila, Hailey, and Layla; fond brother of Anna (the late Jack) Cox and the late Mathias (Irma) Deppong. Visitation at Simkins Funeral Home 6251 Dempster St. Morton Grove, IL 60053 on Friday, June 16th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Family and friends will meet at St. Mary of the Woods Church 6955 N.
