Gabriel S. Berrafato

Gabriel S. Berrafato Sr., age 93, of Morton Grove and Glenview, IL passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on November 26, 2021. He was a beloved husband for 55 years to his late wife, Irene, nee Senini; loving father of Gabriel Jr. (Audrey), Michael (Julia), Ann (Paul Tobin), Matthew (Laura), Mark (Cristin), Christopher (Cynthia), and Andrew (Barbara); doting grandfather of Amy, Kelly (Donny), Sara (Kirk), Stephen (Kristen), Matthew (Antoinette), Emily (Kyle), Sasha, Tessa (Brian), Samantha (Jeff), Thomas, Michael (Caitlin), and Pauly Tobin; great grandfather of Olivia, Jayden, Isaiah, Liam, Ben, Owen, Claire, and Maddie. A proud navy veteran, and a dedicated attorney for his entire career, including Village attorney in Morton Grove and Park District Attorney in Niles. He was an avid golfer, and a member of Ridgemoor Country Club for 30+ years, and the biggest DePaul fan there ever was. He never ceased to put a smile on your face by tickling the ivories, or twirling you around the dance floor to the jitterbug. Visitation at  Simkins Funeral Home 6251 Dempster St. Morton Grove, IL 60053 Monday, November 29th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Family and friends will meet at St. Catherine Laboure Church 3535 Thornwood Glenview, IL 60025 on Tuesday, November 30th for a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Livestream at https://youtube.com/watch?v=_cbyr_0yjuM&feature=share. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
