Zorayda Yanga Maghirang, 66 of Evanston Illinois, passed away suddenly at her home in Evanston Saturday June 16, 2018. Born May 2, 1952 in Sab Pablo City, the Philippines, she emigrated to come first to Skokie Illinois and then settled in Evanston shortly thereafter. Beloved wife of Honesto Rivera Maghirang. Mother of five, including daughter Girlie (Donald) Dichoso of Mt. Prospect, and 3 daughters and a son in the Philippines, Eugenia (Joel) DeCastro, Jocelyn (Michael) Perez, Arvin (Lea) Maghirang and Yvette (Rico) Deomano. Grandmother of 10. Visitation will be held 4-9 pm Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Simkins Funeral Home, 6251 Dempster Street, Morton Grove IL 60053. A second visitation and funeral service will be held later in the Philippines. Burial will take place July 1, 2018 at the San Pablo Memorial Park Cemetery, San Pablo City, Laguna , the Philippines.
