Wolfgang William
Gustaveson
September 22, 2004 – December 4, 2023
Wolfgang William Gustaveson, 19, died in a tragic car accident on Monday, December 4, 2023 along side his good friend, Frank. Beloved son of Jason Gustaveson & Janessa Nikols: loving brother of Grace and Henry: dear grandson of Janeen and Morgan O'Brien, and Dee and the late William Gustaveson; cherished nephew of Kathy (Dennis) Wogen, Krissy (Bill) Lucas, Bob (Jolene) Gustaveson, Jonathan (Lesley) Nikols, Joy (Joe) Krelle, Chris (Marge) Wagner, Rachel O'Brien, and Erin O'Brien; proud cousin of Marcus Gustaveson, Tyler Wogen, Olivia and Emma Lucas, Jacinda, Jeremy, and Joshua Gustaveson, Emily, Caleb, Mallory, and Colton Nikols, Cate and Maddie Krelle, Zach, Alex, and Clay Wagner, and Noah and Hannah O'Brien; revered frien of many, including his "crew" and SIU family.
A graduate of Maine East, Wolf was a Freshman at SIU majoring in Automotive Technology, but most importantly of all he was an incredible son, brother, cousin, grandson, nephew, and friend to many. He loved cars and anything with an engine, snowboarding, and baseball. Wolf had a contagious laugh, lit up a room, and had a knack for making others feel comfortable and welcome. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Wolf was the most hardworking and strong individual, he was loyal, loved learning, and loved a challenge. He stood up for what was right, despite the consequences. Wolf not only found but created community and connections wherever he was – be it on the field, with his friends and family, helping others, or tinkering with machines.
Wolf's kindness, his heart, his commitment, and his humor were evident in how he engaged life and engaged with people all around him. He has touched the lives of so many and will be dearly missed and forever remembered. Car Parts.
