Vincent L. Fontana, 84, formerly of Morton Grove, beloved husband of the late Virginia "Ginny"; loving father of Linda (Dave) Mann, Tom (Jennifer Kenyeri), and the late Michael; fond brother of Phyllis Fontana Boex and the late Joseph, Caeser, and Benny.

Vince was a dedicated and hardworking man throughout his life. He proudly owned and operated his family's shoe repair business for many years, where he became known for his craftsmanship, strong work ethic, and commitment to serving his customers. Later, he worked as a building superintendent, a role he held for many years and one that reflected his resourcefulness, reliability, and ability to fix just about anything.

Outside of work, Vince enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He had a lifelong appreciation for classic cars and could often be found admiring and talking about them. He loved spending time in his tool room, tinkering with projects, making repairs, and finding satisfaction in working with his hands. Whether fixing something that was broken or creating a solution to a problem, Vince took pride in his ability to make things work. He also enjoyed listening to oldies’ music, often filling his home with the familiar sounds and memories of favorite songs from years gone by.

Above all else, Vince’s greatest source of pride and joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and provider who worked tirelessly to ensure his loved ones were cared for and supported. His family always came first, and he expressed his love through his steadfast presence, quiet sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to those he held dear.

Those who knew Vince will remember his kindness, dependability, and quiet strength. Whether sharing stories, lending a helping hand, or simply enjoying time with family and friends, he made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

While his family mourns his passing, they take comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind and the example he set through a life marked by perseverance, generosity, and love. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the values he instilled in those around him.
