Teresa Sachiko Kimura, beloved daughter of the late Tad and Susie Kimura; dear sister of Stanley (the late Maureen) and Spencer (Heather); loving aunt of Amy (Roger) Bye, Shaun, Chris, Bethann (Skye Wilson), Ryan (Allison) and Tiffanie (Brendan) Pontow. Memorial visitation at Simkins Funeral Home 6251 Dempster St. Morton Grove on Saturday August 16th from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 5:00 p.m. Cremation held privately.

Teresa was a teacher of math, science, PE, and outdoor education for many years, as well as a coach of badminton and track and field throughout her career. She was a dedicated teacher at Niles SD 71, Winnetka SD 36, and Glenview SD 34.

Teresa loved nature, swimming, and playing sports. She could most often be found spending time outdoors and being with her friends, and she was a trained rock climbing instructor who also loved playing softball. She adored her many cats, variety of lizards, and dog Yoshi.
