Stella J. Janisch, nee Dyrkacz, 90, beloved wife of the late Frank J. Janisch; loving mother of Debbie (Donald) Szachowicz, Kathy (John) Baker,and Frank (Laurie, Toni) Janisch; dear grandmother of Tanya (Jorge), Patrick (Allison), Frank, Peter (Susy), Lisa, Phillip (Nicole), Melissa, Emily (Andrew), Amanda and Marilyn; proud great grandmother of Jorgie, Lia, Felix, Eli, Kenny, Ariella, Hannah, Taylor, Callie, Jude, Leo, William and Lily; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Stella was an active member of St. Martha Church, participating in several ministries and also as a volunteer in the rectory. She loved to travel and entertain family and friends. She was a diehard Blackhawks fan, claimed an allegiance to the White Sox but also enjoyed Cub games, and had little use for the Bears. She was an avid reader, rummy and domino player and animal lover. Stella demonstrated a passion for helping others wherever she could, in whatever way possible, throughout her life. Memorial visitation for Stella will be held at St. Martha Church, 8523 Georgiana Ave, Morton Grove, IL on Saturday, October 4th from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial mass at 10:30am. Private interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
