Obituary

Rudolph Klepitsch, 85, beloved husband for 61 years of Marilyn nee Nebrich; loving father of Julie (Steve) Cerese, Todd (Ruth) Klepitsch, Gary (Kimberly) Klepitsch and Crystal (Brian) Windley; cherished grandfather of Steven and Jessica Cerese, Theresa (Arthur) Czerep, Eric, Kyle and Garrett Klepitsch and Ayla, Caleb and Emmett Windley; fond brother of Elvira (the late Quin) Haase. Memorial visitation at Simkins Funeral Home 6251 Dempster St. Morton Grove, IL Friday November 27th from 2 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Inurnment private. He cherished his marriage of 61 years and took great pride in his family.

Rudy achieved both personal and professional success. Rudy was an accomplished architect, he graduated from University of Illinois with a degree in architecture; the same year he married Marilyn, 1954. Rudy worked for several architecture firms and then in 1966 he opened his own firm, working exclusively for the Catholic Charities and the Archdiocese of Chicago.  During his career he designed three churches St John Brebeuf church in Niles, Illinoi, St Celestine in Elmwood Park, Illinois, Saint Eulalia in Maywood, Illinois.  He designed and built many rectories and convents; St. Edna, St. Henry, Saint Isaac Jogues to name a few.  He also did extensive work for the Cordi Marion Sisters, Holy Family, House of Good Shepard and Our Lady of Mercy Mission. He took great pride in his work and his family.

In retirement Rudy moved with his wife, Marilyn to Arizona. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, hiking and soaking in the desert sun.
