Rona "Ronnie" Sander, age 100, passed away on January 2nd, 2024 surrounded by her loving family in her Morton Grove home. Rona was preceded in death by her childhood sweetheart and beloved husband, Bernhard "Bernie" Olaf Sander. They are now reunited in heaven. She was a wonderful, loving mother who cared for her eight children, even in her final days. She is survived by Jo Ellen, Tim (Joy) , Scott (Nancy), Lynne, Brian (Patty), Bernie (Lisa), Shawn (Corrine) and Christopher.

She was blessed to spend her 101st Christmas, her favorite time of year, with the Christmas treasures that she collected over the years including her many Hallmark ornaments and Department 56 villages which were her pride and joy. Ronnie loved to share her home during this time with everyone who came over to see her collections. She was even featured in a Channel 7 newscast with Frank Mathie. She was a lady that loved life, bowling through her 80's and driving her little red car until age 98 to the malls and stores to shop.

Her favorite pastimes were reading, puzzles, watching movies especially Hallmark movies and playing games with her 20 grandchildren. Her greatest joy was her family and it continues to grow with the addition of 36 great-grandchildren and another on the way. Her delightful spirit and warm personality will be missed by many.
