Richard A. Jacobsen, 95, of Morton Grove, passed away peacefully on Nov. 9, 2021. He was born in Chicago in 1926. He served in the Army during World War II where he was chosen to participate in the Manhattan Project. Richard was stationed at Bikini Island in the South Pacific. He graduated from Northwestern Univ. with a degree in Business Adm. He worked in urban renewal developing major cities across the United States. Richard married his loving wife of 70 years in 1951. He was the dear father of William (Bernadette), Suzanne (Richard), Jill, and Peter; loving grandfather of 4; cherished great grandfather of 4. He will be deeply missed. Visitation at Simkins Funeral Home 6251 Dempster St. Morton Grove Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. Entombment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
