Maureen (Mo) Ann (Daly) Kimura, 71, passed away after spending the previous day laughing and joking with her children and husband. Maureen was the beloved wife of Stanley Kimura, and mother to Amy Bye (Roger), Shaun, Chris, and Beth Ann (Skye). She was born and raised in Beloit, Wisconsin as a proud Irish Catholic. Mo loved to read lots of mysteries, bingeing who-done-it movies or tv shows, listening to her oldies music, doing puzzles with her children, and being surround by her friends and family.

Maureen will always be known as "Mom" to far more than just her biological children. Whomever needed a warm hug, kind advice, or some motherly attention would just need to find Mo at one of her common stomping grounds, cheering for her Cubbies. She was always proud of all her children, whether biological or adopted.

Maureen loved volunteering and supporting her community. Whether being the treasurer for the Morton Grove Days Committee or being one of Santa's main helpers for Santa Claus Comes to Town, she spent her life contributing to her community.

Visitation will be held at Simkins Funeral Home 6251 Dempster St. Morton Grove on Friday, November 24th, starting at 2pm, followed by a short celebration of life service at 6pm. Mo was a great lover of all animals, especially her furry children and grandchildren. All memorial donations may be made to Orphans of the Storm 2200 Riverwoods Rd. Riverwoods, IL 60015.
