Obituary

Mary Ann O'Hara, nee Mutter, passed away Sunday, August 31st surrounded by her family. Born on August 18, 1929 in St. Gregory's Parish in Chicago. Mary Ann married Patrick in 1952. She is survived by: Karen (Ken Turek), Gary (Janet), Christine (Jack Leppert), Patricia (Tom Maxson), Kathleen (Martin Huggins), John (Ann), and Lisa (Greg Burke) — and Grandchildren, Kelly, Keith, Dylan, Harry, Alexandria, Cody, Rosemary, Henry, Marguerite, Jessica, Mackenzie, Jackson, and Erin, — and Great Grandchildren, Samuel, Oliver, Ramūnas, and Hazel each of whom got to cuddle in her warm embrace. Mary Ann was an active member of St. Martha's Church. She was an avid gardener, an engaging hostess, and an adventurous traveler. Mary Ann was always learning, from languages to musical instruments, from computers to investments. She challenged her mind by learning Spanish, delving into word processing, playing guitar, and teaching English language learners. Mary Ann had a welcoming smile. She opened up her home and cared for her friends, family, and neighbors. She worried and prayed for each one of them.
