Harold E. Ryan, 77, of Chicago IL, passed away peaceful in Queen Creek AZ on December 17th, 2024, beloved husband of Bonnie; loving father of Jillian (Robert) Werneth, Eric (Stephanie) Ryan; cherished grandfather (Papa) of Abigail Werneth, Paige Werneth, and Olivia Ryan; dear brother to the late Gertrude Louise Ryan, Caroline Ferrara Yencho (Steve Yencho), Belinda Sanchez, Patty Weijola, the late John(Peggy) Ryan, the late AJ (Mary) Ryan, the late Robert Ryan.  Loving Uncle and Great Uncle to many nieces and nephews.  As a young man, Harry loved all sports but he was a devout Chicago Blackhawks fan.  Harry was a veteran of the Vietnam War proudly serving from 1968-1972.  Harry loved to golf and travel.  Harry's greatest love was for his wife, children, and grandchildren.  Harry touched the lives of everyone he met with his quick wit and fun-loving personality.   Please join us in celebrating his life. Visitation will be at Simkins Funeral Home 6251 Dempster St. Morton Grove on Friday Dec. 27th from 3 pm until time of service at 7 pm. Interment private.
