Darilyn "Dee" Paulsen, nee Brunger, 65, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Morton Grove, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, September 28th, at the Legacy House after her brave, but brief fight with Pancreatic cancer.

Dee was married to her husband Gary for 43 years. She loved spending time with her husband, children, and her grandchildren. She also really loved spoiling her dogs, shopping, playing on her iPad, and fixing her children's pc's.

Darilyn was born in Evanston, IL to the late Albert and Jean Brunger and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Skokie, IL. Darilyn worked many years to help support her family. Dee and Gary moved to Ocala in 2008.

Darilyn is survived and will be greatly missed by her loving husband Gary Paulsen of Ocala, FL, her daughters Dana Harries (Donald) and Jamie Paulsen, both of Ocala, FL, and sons Peter Paulsen (Kelly) of Skokie, IL, Daniel Paulsen (Gleide) of Round Lake Beach, IL, Gary Paulsen Jr. (Kristi) of Chicago, IL, and Martin Paulsen (Brittany) of Ocala, FL.

Darilyn is also survived by her older sisters Jacqueline Johnson, Marilyn Meindle, younger brother Albert Brunger, Jr., and younger sister Laurelyn Lamarz, all of IL.

Darilyn is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Paige and Kaila Paulsen, Kaitlin Harries, Randy and Alyssa Paulsen, Cristian Duran, Jake and Chase Paulsen, and Layla and Leah Paulsen.

Visitation at Simkins Funeral Home 6251 Dempster St.  Morton Grove, IL 60053 on Saturday, October 8 ^th from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 5:00 p.m. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. (847) 965-2500
