Obituary

Carola "Kelly" Neville of Broomfield, CO, formerly of Morton Grove, IL; passed away surrounded by family at home after a sudden and swift battle with cancer. She was born in Montreal, Canada to Helene and Fredrick Rinke. Her family, including younger sister Sue, moved frequently due to their father's job. They lived in Montreal, Quebec, Toronto and Hamilton Ontario, Hazel Park, MI and finally Chicago, IL where she met her husband, James F. Neville, while he was an intern and Kelly was a student nurse at St. Francis Hospital. They married on April 1, 1974. They were best of friends and their love for each other could be seen everyday. Kelly graduated nursing school in 1977. Jim and Kelly had 4 children, Mike, Kelly (deceased), Lisa and Mark. Kelly first worked in the ICU at St. Francis Hospital then transferred to the Emergency Dept. She loved her work which was never boring. When Jim retired, Kelly sort of did. They moved to Broomfield, CO for the beauty and the ability to enjoy all four seasons. Whether it was outdoor recreation, theater, hockey, music etc., it was all available. Kelly did go back to work part time at CMC Urgent Care for a slower pace and continued to love her decision. Her co-workers made that job great. She retired officially on June 15, 2020. Kelly had a zest for life, love for her dogs and was filled with joy, curiosity and compassion. They enjoyed world travels, trying new restaurants and recipes, learning from the many exhibits at museums and visiting their family. Kelly was preceded in death by her mom, Helen Rinke, and their daughter Kelly Ann. She is survived by her loving husband James, her son Mike and his wife Jane, children Leah and Lexi; her son Mark and his wife Lilia; her daughter Lisa and husband Todd Poole and their children Anna and Jake; her sister Susanna Elizabeth Caroline Whitman and the best dog ever, Wrigley. She leaves behind countless friends, neighbors and people she touched in the community. Donations can be made to the non-profit of your choice. She loved you all!
