Carol A. VandenBrook, nee Brand, 103, beloved wife of the late Robert VandenBrook and William Croy; loving mother of Bill, Jeanne (the late Chuck) Weinberg, Roberta (Bob) Nelson, and the late Richard (Jill); dear grandmother of Peter, Jonas (Kristen), Christopher (Evie), Daniel (Ursula), and Cory (Tomoe); proud great grandmother of Lillie, Ava, William, Kaleigh, Clark, Brody, Willa, and Julius; fond sister of the late Col. Joseph (the late Jeanne) Brand and Vincent (Fran) Brand. Carol was a die hard Cubs fan, past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of The Skokie VFW, and a generous volunteer for many organizations. She had a great sense of humor, even into her later years, and was a long time employee in the banking industry starting in personnel, and ending up as an officer.
