Therese, born Terezia Neroni in Ohio to Antonio and Almarinda Neroni, who immigrated to the US from Italy. In 1947, she married Robert B. Skipton who would become her lifelong companion. They had two sons, David and Richard, and lived in Morton Grove for over 50 years. After Robert passed away in 1998, she spent her winters in Phoenix and summers in Morton Grove, moving permanently to Arizona in 2014.
Therese was known to family and friends as an extremely generous and loving person. She was very outgoing…on a three hour flight, she would make friends with everyone around her. She was devoted to the church and to God. And, she loved to cook…her lasagna was legendary! Therese will be missed by all.
She is survived by her two sons, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Services were held privately. Memorials may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital at www.shrinershosptalsforchildren.org.
