Lance Goodman Obituary

Lance A. Goodman,59, formerly of Morton Grove; beloved son of Marlene, nee Lindskoog and the late Harry; loving brother of Larry (Karen) Goodman and Marla (Gary) Guziec; dear uncle of Douglas (Maureen) Guziec, Marissa (Dave) Kinsey and Kyle (Ashley) Guziec; cherished great uncle of many. Former spouse of Karen Goodman and beloved partner Andrea Newman. Lance was a graduate of Nile West High School and Triton College where he got his AA degree in horticulture. He was a long-time owner of the Greenscape landscaping service. Like his father, he marched to the beat of a different drummer. He inherited his grandfather's skill with his hands and love of the outdoors. He was a hard-worker who took pride in quality work. There was nothing Lance couldn't fix. He enjoyed spending time at the family summer home in Mosinee, Wisconsin and became the primary caretaker of the property. He was an avid fisherman and was also a passionate fan of Chicago's pro sports teams. Memorial visitation at Simkins Funeral Home 6251 Dempster St. Morton Grove on Sunday October 27th from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chicago Botanic Garden 1000 Lake Cook Rd. Glencoe, IL 60022.
