In the memory and honor of a brother, son, husband, father and friend to countless people, James Strayer Gilbert. Together may we acknowledge and share both joy in the gift that his life was, and the pain that his passing brings. In sharing the joy and the pain together, may we lessen the pain and remember more clearly the joy he was in our lives.
James was just 22 years young when he passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017. He was born on December 29, 1994 in East Hazel Crest, Illinois to John and Eileen Gilbert. Also son to Jennifer Nieves, Roberto Nieves, Anna Thomas and Gus Marousopoulos. The perfect brother to Johnny Gilbert, Christina Gilbert, Jazmine Briceno, Vasiliki Marousopoulos and Alexandra Marousopoulos. He was the perfect husband to Alicia Thomas and the irreplaceable father to James Calvin Gilbert and Sophia Arianna Gilbert. Grandson to Mary Anne Gilbert, Glenn Austin Gilbert, Janice Lalani and Amir Naqvi. Nephew to many whom loved him. Uncle to John Glenn Gilbert the third. He was a Friend to countless people and was such a warm kind loving humble soul.
James was the definition of Real. The love he showed was real and his want to help others was unlimited. James was a man of honor and respect. Love, kindness and of humbling oneself. Joined in heaven by Pamela and James Calvin Perkins. He lived a life full of love and laughter and would want us to do the same in remembrance of his loving name. Forever in our hearts you will live.
