Arthur A. Malinowski

Arthur A. Malinowski, of Morton Grove, died peacefully at the age of 89. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Helen Dombek. Art was born and raised in Bucktown. He attended St. Hedwig grammar school, and Weber High School, where he made life long friends. After serving in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, he attended DePaul University. He then received his Masters in Industrial Relations from Loyola University Chicago, his Juris Doctor from DePaul, a PhD in Economics from The Illinois Institute of Technology, and his Masters in Law from Chicago Kent Law School. Art went on to teach for over 30 years at Loyola University Chicago in the Industrial Relations Department. He also spent over 40 years as a nationally recognized arbitrator, and was an active member of the National Academy of Arbitrators. He was a proud member of The Knights of Malta, a Catholic organization committed to humanitarian, medical, and social assistance all over the world. However, Art's greatest accomplishment was his family. He was married for 51 years to his beloved Theresa, nee Ecimovich. A loving father to Arthur  (Beth) Malinowski, Mary (Tony) McMahon, and Sarah Malinowski. He was the very proud grandfather of Anthony and Nathan McMahon, and Mia Malinowski. Art will be remembered for his gentle, generous spirit, his brilliant mind, and his devotion to his family.
