Ann (Matuszyk) Trail

Ann Trail, nee Matuszyk, 85, of Glenview, beloved wife of William "Bill"; loving mother of Bill (Christine), Carol, and Tom (Elizabeth); dear grandmother of Brittany, Tom, Natalie, Hannah, Katie, Lauren, and Nathan; fond sister of Chet (the late Alice) Matuszyk and the late Carole (Walter) Szubryt. Ann was a native of the south side from the Roseland area.  She attended St. Salomea grammar school and graduated from St. Louis Academy in 1948.  She then worked full time for Old Republic Insurance, eventually attaining the position of personal secretary to the CEO.  After her first child was born in 1965, she devoted full time to homemaking and raising her children.  She was most happy when planning and cooking for family gatherings and other family activities. Family and her Catholic faith were the cornerstones of her life. During retirement years, she and Bill traveled extensively visiting all the continents, except Antarctica.  She was a lovely and classy lady, and will be missed by all that knew her. Funeral from Simkins Funeral Home 6251 Dempster St. Morton Grove, IL 60053 Wednesday, November 15th at 10:30 a.m. to Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church. Mass at 11:00 a.m. Cremation private.
