Michael K. "Mick" McGovern, age 77, beloved husband of Patricia (nee Raniere) for 54 years; loving father of Susan Triphahn (partner Craig Talsma). A proud Fenwick Friar who just celebrated his 60th year as an alumnus. Prior owner of Petersen's Ice Cream, Oak Park and Giordano's Pizza, Mount Prospect. A 50 year resident of Park Ridge and an avid golfer and member of the Park Ridge Country Club for 37 years. Visitation at Simkins Funeral Home 6251 Dempster St. Morton Grove Monday, June 19th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Family and friends will meet at St. Paul of the Cross Church 320 S. Washington St. Park Ridge on Tuesday, June 20th for 10:00 a.m. Mass. Inurnment to be held privately. In lieu of flowers donations to Misericordia Heart of Mercy 6300 N.
